About the Business
Two Steps was first opened as a 'Fried Fish Dealer' in 1895. Its unusual name was invented over 100 years ago by locals wishing to distinguish the chip shop with 'two steps up to its front door' from its rival across the road and it has been used fondly ever since. The business has been passed down through many owners over the years but has always retained its unique old fashioned character.
