We love frying-up ournations favourite meal and we won't compromise. We use only the best and freshest ingredients, obtained locally where possible. Our scrumptious fish and chips are fried in pure groundnut oil to make our food even lighter and crispier.
Pisces was featured on the BBC2 programme, 'The Fixer' - A documentary series with Alex Polizzi which follows family-run businesses and their ups and downs. First broadcast date - Tues 12th March. Afamily business for over 60 years, Pisces was started by Derek Holbrook and Arthur Haines in 1948. Initially it traded from two different sites, one a house in North Road, the other a wooden ex-army hut on Westerleigh Road in Yate. The fish and chips were cooked using a coal fired range.
Opened for business in October 2013, Pollocks of Bath is Bath's only traditional fish and chip shop. Back in the 1980's, 73 Caerphilly Road was an ironmonger's owned and run by a local man. He still lives locally and often calls in. After many years of stiff competition from the newly opened B&Q heconverted the shop and it became a fish and chip shop. Sometime later he retired and sold the business to David and Alistair Younger. Alistair ran the shop very successfully for almost 10 years. In this time he established an enviable reputation both within the industry and with local customers.

Although we opened our Simpsons Cheltenham shop in 2009, fish and chips have been in our family for nearly 40 years.
