Pino's Continental Cafe

Pino's café offer good quality food at reasonable prices with a standard of service second to none. Ranging from cooked breakfast, lunches, snacks and freshly cooked fish and chips. Eat in or take away. They offer wine, Italian lagers and ice-cream and are one of the few outlets in the valley to serve Mokarabia Italian coffee. All of this can be enjoyed in a warm clean and modern environment, with a friendly atmosphere. Pay them a visit and see for yourselves, you won't be disappointed. It all began when their grandfather, Andrea Carpanini, came over from Bardi in Italy like many other Italians, and in 1926 opened the "Corner Café" in Glancynon Terrace, Abercynon.

Later in 1946, his two sons, Pino (Giuseppe) and Maurice (Maurizio) joined the business and in 1954 a second shop was opened in Mountain Ash, run by the eldest son Pino who later went on to marry Maria and have two sons. They continued to run the café as a family business until the untimely death of Pino some years ago.
