
After being in business for more than 20 years, fire completely destroyed the inside of the shop forcing it to close. But we are back! Hello and welcome to Pisces where we have been serving quality fish & chips for 13 years now and have evolved to cater for modern tastes now as well as traditional. There has been a chip shop on Topping Street since at least 1924. Records show that a Mr William Taylor was working the business as a fried fish supplier back then. By the 1950's the chip shop hadchanged to Whittakers. 30 years on and the chip shop changed its name once again to Yorkshire Fisheries as this was where the new owners- Robert and Hilda Taylor originated. The shop maintains this name to this day.

Lee Holt established Holt's fish and chips to be a traditional fish and chip shop that is always welcoming and aims to serve the best quality fish and chips. It was opened on the 13th of January 2009by Lee and a small team of friendly staff. In 2010 it won New Business of the year in the Pendle Business Awards. In 2011 it beat off competition from Devon and Dorset and Shetland to be crowned Best Newcomer 2011 in the Seafish National Fish and Chip Awards.
